Character Creation Guide + Template

-CHARACTER CREATION-

At the top of your template, although it should be self explanatory, should be an image of your character. This is not mandatory, you don't have to use a picture if you can't find something that matches what you have in mind, but it's encouraged for the benefit of others so that they may get a clear visualization of your character. If you do add a picture please use the center code and make sure it is not too big, locate a resizing code if this is the problem, be sure identify the character image you are claiming, be sure to check the Face Claims thread before attempting to use an image.

THE INFO.


Name: The authentic name of your character. Although generic names are certainly welcomed, we appreciate people who create unique names for their characters. Please include your character's last name and first name.

Nickname: For a lower ranked fae, this may be something your close friends call you.For those fae who've been around for centuries and made a name for themselves, this is more of a title.

Age: The fae genus allows one to live for centuries, if not millennium. Thus, any age is applicable. However, it is crucial that your characters age should reflect their knowledge and wisdom of both fae and human knowledge.

Gender: Male, Female, or Other.

Relationship Status: Married? Divorced? Single and ready to mingle?

Occupation and Skills: Here is where you put your characters profession. There are many professions to choose from, however, in some way they must tie into the type of Fae that you are. Occupations are usually assigned to you by your factions leader, and it allows you to feed / express your Fae nature without exposure or prejudiced. For a Succubus for example, you may be an escort. For a Shifter, you may be an investigator/tracker. Skills are unique traits your character possesses, usually attained in an occupation. This can be something like guns, martial arts, dancing, etc.

Appearance: The appearance is a very important part of the application and it is important as you are as descriptive as possible. This should be easy to start, since you have provided an image up the top, this should be what your character looks like, but not every detail has to be the same, eye colour can be altered to your liking likewise with uniform. Describe your characters physical appearance which includes such thing as weight, height, muscular definition, facial features, any distinct markings, eye and hair colours, skin completion, etc. Move onto your attires, what do you wear on a everyday basis? What do you wear when performing missions for your faction? Accessories?

Personality: Try to be original here, not everybody is going to be emotionless. Describe how situations effect your character. Include things like what your character likes and dislikes, what their hobbies are, what they enjoy doing and what they don't. What foods they like? How do they think and act in battle? This should be easy for most of you, we just ask for you to be creative.


THE FAE.

Faction: Are you part of the Light Fae, or the Dark Fae? Your faction will more than likely describe your outlook on humanity, and life itself. Dark Fae are more free spirited, while Light Fae are more people-friendly. The leader of the Light Fae is known as the Ash, and the Dark Fae have a leader that they call the Morrigan.

Species: What type of Fae are you? This can either be custom or canon.

Powers and Abilities:: Should be taken straight from the Lost Girl Wiki site if its canon. Custom abilities require you to make a Clan first, and thus this section should be copy and pasted from there instead.


THE BACKGROUND.


History I hate this section as much as the next player, but its important none the less. Just provide a brief history of your character and be sure to hit milestones, like when they joined their faction, their Dawning period, when they first learned to use their powers etc.
